ALPHA 6.5%-8.5%
LIME / LEMON / TROPICAL FRUIT / CITRUS / PASSION FRUIT

FLAVOUR:
Motueka makes an excellent dual-use hop, carrying an exciting fruit aroma with refreshing notes of tropical fruit and citrus. It can be used at any point during the brewing process and works well in sweet, malty and fruity beers.
“We have worked with Motueka now for a couple of years, and it’s another beautiful aromatic hop that perfectly supports the unique Southern Hemisphere vibe with bright lime and lemon zest notes.” Matt Brynlidson, Firestone Walker Brewery, California.

HISTORY:
Formerly known as Belgian Saaz or B Saaz, Motueka™ is a premier New Zealand hop. Developed by HortResearch, this triploid was bred from Saaz and an unnamed New Zealand breeding strain and lends itself well to Lagers, Pilsners and Belgian Ales.

GROWTH/YIELD:
Growth Rate: Very high
Storability: Retains 60%-70% alpha acid after 6 months storage at 20ºC (68ºF) - Ease of Harvest: Moderate
