MUNICH & THE HALLERTAU
The Hallertau is an area in Bavaria, Germany. At 178 square km it is listed as the largest continuous hop planting area in the world. Germany produces about one third of the world's hops over 80% of which are grown in the Hallertau.
We visited the hop museum and sampled some wonderful new Bavarian beers from Urban Chestnut which push the boundaries of lager just a little plus Augustina Helles & Edelstoff.
